ABH Recall Notice

In light of a national recall of products made by ABH Nature's Products, Inc.; ABH Pharma, Inc. and Stocknutra.com Inc., for failing to meet current good manufacturing practice regulations that has affected over 800 companies including Vibrant Health, we are voluntarily recalling the select products outlined below. You can find the official statement from the FDA here.

Please take the following steps to identify if you have been impacted by this recall:

STEPS TO IDENTIFY RECALLED PRODUCT

1. Have you purchased one or more of these products within the past 6 months:

U.T Vibrance powder, U.T. Vibrance tablets, Joint Vibrance powder, Joint Vibrance tablets, Pet Urinary Tract Health powder, Pet Digestive Greens powder and Pet Joint & Hip powder.

2. Locate the LOT number on your product.

The LOT number on your product indicates the batch of material that was used to produce it. All of the LOT numbers for our products can be found on the bottom of the bottle.

If you find that you have been impacted by the product recall, please call 800-242-1835 to speak with one of our customer service agents. We will process your recall claim on your behalf and provide a replacement product at no cost.

WHAT PRODUCTS ARE AFFECTED?

Joint Vibrance powder, Joint Vibrance tablets, U.T. Vibrance powder, U.T. Vibrance tablets, PET U.T. Health powder, PET Digestive Greens powder, PET Joint & Hip powder

 

HOW GREAT IS THE RISK?

To date, Vibrant Health has received NO COMPLAINTS and there have been NO INCIDENTS related to any lot number of Joint Vibrance, UT Vibrance or Pet Products manufactured at ABH.

 

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?

We request that you check the lot numbers of the products on this list you may have on hand. If you find that you have products with any of the above listed lot numbers, you should return the product to your place of purchase for a full refund.

 

WHY IS THIS RECALL HAPPENING?

As per the FDA, (and news to Vibrant Health and so many other Brands), ABH was not following GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) in the production of Nutritional Supplements made in their facility. 

 

WHAT SAFEGUARDS DO WE USE TO ENSURE SAFETY?

Being a tolling operation is one of the safeguards we use to ensure quality and safety. We know our Raw Material Suppliers by name.  We know and visit their families, family farms and production facilities.  Our relationship with many of them date back decades. Additionally, Vibrant Health sources and purchases all ingredients for our products. Knowing exactly where these ingredients are coming from allows us an additional layer of security in knowing what is going into our products. For this reason and many others, we believe our materials to be of the highest quality you can find today. 

 

HAVE THERE BEEN ANY REPORTS OF CONTAMINATION OF ILLNESSES?

No. To date there have been no reports of illness.

 

HOW OFTEN DOES THIS HAPPEN?

This is the second time in Vibrant Health's 28 year history that we have had to issue a recall. It came as quite a surprise to us given that all raw materials in the product had passed microbiological analyses and additional testing. In consultation with other companies in our industry, we have discovered that product recalls are more common than we suspected. Nearly all major dietary supplement companies who utilize organic plant materials have experienced one or more recalls.

 

ADDITIONAL ADVICE

GMP procedures require that every raw material ingredient designated for use in a dietary supplement be analyzed for microbiological contamination. These procedures were followed by the raw material supplier. No contamination was found in any of the ingredients that went into our products, nor was contamination found in the finished products.

 

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I HAVE CONSUMED THE PRODUCT ALREADY?

You can rest assured that we triple test all of our raw materials, as well as our finished products, to ensure safety and purity. If you feel that you are experiencing an adverse effect from one of the products listed in this recall, please seek treatment from a medical professional. 

 

WHY DIDN'T WE ADDRESS THIS WHEN IT INITIALLY HAPPENED?

Recall procedures are extremely complex. We wanted to ensure we had a comprehensive understanding of what was happening before we took action. As with anything, our main focus is on you, the consumer, and preserving the integrity of our products at all costs.

 

HOW WILL VIBRANT HEALTH PREVENT THIS FROM OCCURRING AGAIN?

  1. We have altered our vetting process for Co-packers to include annual inquiries with the FDA to ascertain if any of our Co-Packers are in violation of GMP standards
  2. We have increased our auditing schedule from annual to semi-annual to ensure we have the most up-to-date information
  3. We have adjusted our Co-Manufacturing vetting questionnaire to include a thorough look into the co-mans history
